The S-310 is part of Epiphone's S-Series. This model featured the following headstock shapes:

  • Elongated Explorer style (1988)
  • Explorer style headstock (1989-1994)
  • Batwing headstock (1995-1999)

This model was produced alongside the "S-310 Custom" model, which featured an HSS pickup configuration. Both guitars came standard with a 2-Point Fulcrum tremolo.
