Fresh in from the Hofner booth of this years NAMM show in Anaheim comes this new Verythin CT 'Special' guitar model, to our knowledge the only one available in the US at the current time.
As the Verythin CT 'Special' was newly introduced this year only one choice unit was hand picked in Germany at the factory from the new production line and brought to California as a demo for the booth, - you are looking at it.
The new Verythin CT 'Special' guitar blends vintage style with modern design elements. Most noticeable are the 'batwing' sound holes, a classic Hofner design from the 1960s, giving this guitar the distinctive Hofner retro look.
Inside you will find a solid spruce center block for modern sounds with better sustain.
Hofner fitted the 'Special' with a pair of Hofner 'Vintage Voice' humbuckers that deliver a broad tonal range making it an extremely versatile guitar for everything from blues to biting rock.
The neck uses the 'Slendaneck' Hofner profile developed in the 60s which plays very comfortable letting you get the best out of the instrument. Fitted with chrome Hofner Logo pot knobs and available in 'brunette' sunburst (as offered here) and in transparent red.
PLEASE NOTE, the pictures posted here may display the finish a bit more reddish than what the guitar actually is, the term 'Brunette' sunburst described it better, as it is not your typical sunburst finish that this beautiful guitar is finished in.
