Got this at an auction. It belonged to a rich older lady who owned jewelry stores in LA. Purchased theie as well, see the sticker in the case.

Wasn't played much, frets are perfect, 15 and 27 are a little high, but already into the fall away. Small nicks and dings here and there, nothing you see from less than a couple feet away. It did suffer a contact to the butt at some point, some finish checking I can't make show in the pictures. But it also cause a small crack and a longer crack in the rosewood portion. As well, there was a crack next to the neck block. All have been professionally repaired, as well as a pro setup. The pictures make them look quite visible, as I wanted to be as transparent as possible, but again, you can't see them in "real life". Tuners are tarnished a bit, I did not polish them, left that to the buyer, as it's into vintage at this point, being 44 years old. Some like their patina!

Also of note, the neck heel is shimmed vertically. Looking closely, I don't believe it was a repair, I believe it was how it was built. It looks like necks were attached after finishing, ie, shim instead of moving the bridge back to account for scale length. Just my guess. See pictures...

Action is at 6 and 4, plays very nice. Beautiful inlays, see the second label for woods and materials. The Birdseye rocks!

So, made by James Goodall, 1979, his 32nd guitar. Does that add cachet? You tell me :) Goodall lovers are fanatic, as shown in Goodall forums, so I'm going with yes...
