Gretsch 6071 Bass - Monkees - w/OHSC 1965

Selling a vintage 1965 Gretsch 6071 Bass in it's original hardshell case.  This bass has plenty of scratches, nicks, and dings but overall it's still in good shape for it's age and it plays and sounds great. Bass is all stock and the controls and pickup work as they should.  I see that someone added a extra thumb rest at one point and the binding has been touched up/filled in a few spots (biggest being at the heel of the neck).  The mute works but you will need to put new foam or felt on it to use it.  Guitar plays cleanly up and down the neck with nice action and the frets show very little wear.  A very nice light and resonate bass with a great punchy low end.  Comes in the original hardshell case.  The case is missing the handle and one latch is broken but it still does it's job.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks!
