About This Listing
This is a gorgeous Kay guitar. It is the Sierra archtop, made by Kay in the 1950's. It is in very good condition and sounds fabulous. The body is 17" wide, and meets the neck on the 14th fret, it has white celluloid binding, an original pickguard, tuning keys, and tailpiece. All the parts are original. It has a few very minor scratches, but is in excellent shape. The strings are not high, and there is no fret wear or buzz. I will send a heavy duty AKL gig bag with it. Fred McDowell played a Kay! The color and finish on this guitar is a stunning, reddish sunburst. It has a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard. Originally made by Kay for Montgomery Wards Sierra brand.
