This is a 1983 Gibson ES-335 in Walnut or trans brown, however you want to describe it. It comes with the original Tim Shaw pickups and the OHSC. For a 40 year-old guitar, she's held up well; there are some blemishes and scratches that I've tried to capture in photos, but nothing that impairs playability or comfort. To reduce friction at the nut, I've installed a String Butler. Also, for ease of changing strings, I replaced the original tuners with a Grover locking alternative that fit the same holes (no new screw holes). The originals will be included in the case. I purchased this from Carter Vintage guitars, and at that time, I was told the frets and nut had both been replaced. So there's plenty of life left in each.
You'll see the back of the headstock is stamped "SECOND," but there's nothing to indicate what blemish precipitated that label. She plays and sounds great, and comes in at around 8.6lbs.
Nut width: 1.70"
Width at 12th fret: 2.045"
