1951 Buffet Crampon Dynaction Alto Sax
#28xx, made in Paris as the direct competitor to the Selmer SBA.
This horn has been slightly used but maintained at the highest levels. You can see slight wear, primarily on the pant guard and octave lever, with lesser wear on the palm and side keys. There is no damage or repair anywhere on the body.
The original lacquer is at 99% and you can see all the fine detail in the superb engraving.
This model has the original screw-in "parabolic" resonators.
The horn has sat in the original case for sometime and it needs a normal full overhaul. It plays partially as is and you can hear the distinct clarity and tonal complexity of these fine horns. They are also very lightweight and comfortable compared to so many of the modern horns. In terms of pure aesthetics it is just a remarkable piece of hand made craftsmanship.
The neck is original and in excellent shape.
The original wooden end plug and even the original lyre are included.
Please consider that these are close up flash photos and that everything presents even better to the normal eye.
The case is original and in excellent shape. No musty odors anywhere. Both latches latch and spring, (one needs to be slid over when closing). Almost no wear to the case and no shredding to the trim.
Well worth having overhauled to your specs and taste, these are very fine saxophones and you will not easily find a cleaner and nicer example.
USA Shipping is included!!!
