Lovely warm tone, sounds more like a tiny classical guitar, rather than the trebly sound of a ukulele. Very versatile sound, fits nicely into a wide range of musical settings (I’ve personally used it for both acoustic folk projects and as part of an experimental post-punk group).
I bought the ukulele brand new (with hardcase) from Hobgoblin music shop on Eastgate in Leeds, in around 2012. I had the pick up installed professionally by the shop before I collected it. Since that purchase it’s been a prized possession of mine as I’ve moved house 6 times, been married and had children, played numerous shows, and recorded numerous songs with this fantastic little instrument.
As is to be expected, it’s well-loved and has battle scars to prove it (all pictured). These are mostly tiny dents, scratches, and nicks. None of these have impacted the sound or tone of the ukulele and it still sounds as good as it does the day I bought it. Rather, they are signs of just how much life this ukulele has given, and it certainly has plenty more to give.
