‘Hamer’ is well known for building high quality instruments with excellent workmanship and attention to detail and this rare (96) ‘DuoTone’-P90 model is no exception. 

successfully melding an electric with an acoustic guitar, the ‘DuoTone’ model was Introduced into the ‘Hamer ‘range at the height of the alternative scene in the mid-nineties, with  several noted artists playing and touring the DuoTone’ including Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Dweezil Zappa.

This guitar features: -  

·      a semi-hollow - chambered mahogany body with a solid spruce top;  

·      1 x P90 pickup in the neck position;  

·      1 x Seymour Duncan’ Humbucker in the bridge position;

·       1 x Piezo pickup mounted under the bridge, and; three functionally tuned circular sound holes;

·      24.75 inch scale mahogany neck;

·       14.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and dot inlays.

·      Dual outputs (Mono/Stereo)

·      EQ – 5 band adjustable (onboard

A wide range of tones can be obtained by tweaking the controls, and sounds awesome with the P-90s being typically brighter than humbuckers, but not as crisp or tinny as Fender single coils. It also has acoustic capabilities with the piezo pickup, which is extremely useful when switching between acoustic and electric tones in the middle of a song. 

This guitar has been lovingly cherished and condition wise has been well maintained, free of pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear, with a neck profile that plays effortlessly.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel strings (.010-.046). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set  by our independent luthier with moderate relief for electric/acoustic (hybrid) playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered to your requirements by adjusting the height of the compensated bridge saddle.

Electrics: The guitar has been checked over by our independent luthier, a new battery fitted ‘pot controls and switches cleaned, and with all electrics working perfectly.
