Very hard to find, excellent condition, CE-, classic-electric, double bound (thin) 2-3/4" to 3-1/4" body depth, 14-1/4" lower bout, rounded cutaway, solid cedar top, fancy rosette, rosewood back and sides, 12-fret mahogany neck with ebony fretboard, 19 frets, rosewood bridge, individual saddles, factory installed Alvarez natural response pickup system with pop-up volume, bass and treble contols, slotted headstock features rosewood overlay, gold 3-on-a-plate tuners with pearloid buttons, 2-1/16" nut, 660mm scale, original Alvarez HSC. Lock does not work. Fretboard and frets show very little wear. Very minor surface marks not unusual for a guitar of this age but hardly noticeable. Great sounding unplugged or amplified.
This guitar was hand crafted in a remote Japanese mountain village under the watchful eye of master guitar luthier Kazuo Yairi utilizing only the worlds finest woods and naturally drying them to achieve maximum tone. Unique hand-sanded bracing, dovetail neck joints with revolutionary bridge & neck design all make this a truly great instrument.
