Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting...
A Really Cool 1952 Kay 5 string Banjo Model K-54 with a New Old Stock Soft Shell Case!
We dated this one from a 1952 Kay Catalog we have access to...no numbers to identify it. The Kay logo obviously fell off but the headstock shape is definitely Kay. Its an old timer and in amazing shape for its age!
This Banjo is all original... It has a Rock Hard Maple Shell, 16 Nickle plated brackets, the original Natural Skin Head and the original 12 3/4 inch curly maple back resonator. It also includes the original tuners, frets, bridge and nut. What a time capsule!
Our Tech did a great job setting this cool banjo up. Great action that plays like a breeze. Its really loud! Nice low action and ready to play with nice new strings.
The Case is a New Old Stock one we found in a since closed Music store.. We have been saving it for a special banjo... Its from the 60's and its a Kay Case from the Black speckled exterior. The original handle and accessory box are in place here. The beautiful Blue interior is awesome. No funny smells here. It is a great Kay case for this cool banjo..
Its really cool. However, its sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used. Thanks for respecting that.
