This piece of equipment is very well designed and useful. It's a standard 19" rack mount 1/4" TRS or XLR stage box with a splitter snake. One 16 channel fantail goes to the mixer and the other 15' fantail maintains the signal to another set of inputs. I used this piece at shows where I wanted to use my QSC digi mixer and in ear monitor auxes, but also send all the channels to a separate front of house production mixer. However, when you don't need to split the signal, it works great as a 16 channel input box 1/4 or XLR. It can also be a useful studio piece for the same reasons. It is lightly used, fully functional, and needs a new home.
