Gibson SG Supreme 2001 - Midnight Blue Burst Split Diamond Logos and Inlays Ebony Fretboard

This is a Gibson SG Supreme from 2001 in Midnight Blue Burst. The SG Supreme was made in the 2000's as a really special little brother of the SG Custom. I've had a few SG Customs in the past and I can honestly say, I like the SG Supreme much more. Supremes are known for special appointments like the super flamey top and the split inlays. It comes with the split diamond Gibson logo on the headstock which is usually reserved for Custom models only. It comes with the original 57 Classic pickups which were the precursors to the Custombuckers. They sound excellent in this SG. It's definitely a rocker. You can play some sweet clean sounds on it, but this thing is a rock machine.

This SG Supreme comes in excellent condition. It has no breaks or repairs or major dings. It has normal play wear and light scratches and impressions throughout the guitar. Has some worming on the back and play wear on the front. Cosmetic imperfections are difficult to see in the pics due to the color. The frets have very little wear and the ebony fretboard looks great.

What makes this one special? It plays amazingly with low action. I've got it set pretty low and it plays great. It has as good of fret work as a lot of the Gibson Custom Shop guitars that I've tried. The flame on this guitar is one of the best Blue Bursts I've seen with a nice dark rim on the outer edges. It has a bit of movement in it and the blue gives the effect of a little glow.

It comes with the original paperwork and a truss rod tool. The brown case is non-original for this model, but it's a really nice Gibson SG case with the pink shroud and combo lock. These cases are way nicer than the new ones.
