Very heavy duty US made Variac that I bought new from the famous “Plexi Palace” (a.k.a. Mojave Ampworks) in 2005. Used with my Marshall 1967 superlead to drop line voltage (brown sound). Also incredibly useful for slowly bringing up power on tube amps that haven’t been used in a long time to avoid cap damage. This is a HEAVY beast, not made in china “stuff”. New this was $159 in 2005. If you have vintage amps - you need this. Make sure your amp is getting the voltage it was built for (e.g., 110), vs. modern line voltages of 120 and higher. Has amp meter and is rate for 10 amps.
