For sale: Ceriatone Hot Rodded Plexi Yeti 50 with custom ordered options. This amp was built by Ceriatone. It was not a kit build.
If you don't know what these are, the basic description of this amp is that it can essentially cover most historical Marshall tones from early plexi up to hot rodded 800's and beyond. And it does a dang good job. Here is the Ceriatone page describing the standard version of this head:
Custom ordered options by the original owner (not me):
Plexi 50 Output Transformer
Set up and biased for KT77 tubes
Buffered loop with switch (later replaced with a Metro zero loss loop)
And, of course, the obvious non-standard thing about this amp is the gorgeous purple Sourmash head cabinet. This head cab was custom ordered to be 24 inches wide to look a little nicer atop cabs narrower than a full 4x12. Didn't anyone tell you? Purple amps sound better.
My personal favorite way to use this amp is in the '60s "era" setting. Roll back the guitar volume for clean tones, roll up for rock rhythm, and engage a boost (SD-1 is great with this amp) to get extra grit and oomph. Of course, the '80s mode is excellent and probably easiest to dial in great rock tones. '90s mode is also excellent, but I haven't spent a lot of time in that mode as I've been happy with the other two.
Why am I selling such an awesome amp? I've simply got too much gear and I am paring way down. I have decided if I am only going to keep one main amp and a backup, I want them to be channel-switchers. If I were a single channel guy, this amp would stay with me.
Comes with power cord, manual, and black Ceriatone badge with white lettering (not installed on head cab).
Please feel free to PM me with any questions.
Thanks for looking!
