The solid state amp lineup JMI Vox released in 1967 included the Conqueror and Defiant guitar amps, as well as the Foundation and Super Foundation bass amps.
The Super Foundation was 100W while the Foundation, like Noel's here, is a 50W amp. This was an update to the tube version of the Foundation that was made from 1963 to 1966.This specific Foundation head dates to the third early-1970s era as defined by the black vinyl back plate rather than the diamond grill plate in the first incarnation (1967-1970). Serial number: 2792.
Originally, these shipped with a 1x18 cab, but Noel used a 4x12 Supreme guitar cabinet which is part of the Super Beatle amp set. The roll away stand isn’t present as it would have been back when these were released.
The top-mounted controls include bass and normal inputs with volume, tone, and bass/treble knobs, plus a mid boost switch. On the front panel there are two knobs dedicated to an onboard distortion circuit with a three-way rotary switch to select a midrange boost frequency.
Included in this listing price is a printed setlist from an Oasis rehearsal dated March 2010 with markings. This was a rehearsal for what would be their last unofficial gig for the teenage cancer trust.
This amp was toured heavily with Oasis as you can tell from it's rock n roll condition. There are also pieces of tape near the controls with markings, where Noel and his techs set levels.
