For your consideration, one rather RARE 80’s Fernandes Burny Made in Japan RTV-55 Les Paul Junior Double Cut in cool TV Yellow, complimented by a nice, dense slab mahogany rosewood fretboard. 

Produced under the umbrella of the Fernandes company in Japan, the 80’s Burnys are renowned as being some of finest “Lawsuit Era” Les Pauls ever made and this one is very telling as to why. The fit, finish and feel of this Junior is something to experience; played side by side with a genuine Gibson USA Made Junior, it really is hard to tell the difference with regards to sound, looks, along with the overall playing experience. 

Featuring a solid mahogany body, a 50’s rounded mahogany neck and a single barking P90 pickup, and you’re in tonal heaven! But what’s a little more extra about this guitar, it features Gibson’s “open book” headstock, what’s not to love?!

Condition wise, our Junior is in overall great working and cosmetic condition. It does show signs of use, with some chips around the jackplate, as well as some marks and surface scratches to the finish, consistent with that of a guitar that has been used but not abused for 35+ years. All of these are pictured for reference, so please take the time to look over the photos. The frets show signs of light use, with plenty of life still left in them and the original electronics work accordingly, as well as smoothly. The stock P90 pickup absolutely barks but cleans up nicely when gently rolled back on the volume; P90s really have their own character and are a great tonal option to have, for any guitarist. This one's light, weighing in at 7.7lbs. To sum up, here’s a rare, vintage looking and feeling, Japanese “Lawsuit Era” made Junior, that is gig ready. 

It’s been professionally setup with a fresh set of 10-46 strings and has undergone a clean of the body, fretboard, frets and internals, this Junior is glowing.
