Antonio Marin Montero is known as the father of the Granada school of Spanish guitar building. While others are trying to innovate to produce the loudest guitars today this maestro is still building some of the best classical guitars using traditional methods. The results are extraordinary In the quality of the workmanship and the concert quality sound. This particular guitar was built in 2002. The top is aged European Spruce with bear claw and interesting grain pattern. The bracing pattern is that of close friend Robert Bouchet. The back and sides are an elegant set of light chocolate colored Brazilian rosewood. The sound of the guitar is magical with deep cello like basses and clear and sweet trebles that combine to create luminous overtones and sustain. The sound is immediate and great all the way up the neck. This guitar is rare to see available for sale. It is definitely a concert instrument that will appreciate in coming years for the serious collector.
