Unit originally came from a private studio in Burbank, CA. Was purchased for a new studio in Nashville, but it never opened, due to the pandemic. Owner has reluctantly decided to sell. Buy it before he changes his mind.
Unit works great. It was last used about 18 months ago. As you can see from the pictures, this is an extremely nice example of this rare Ampex tape machine.
This was restored personally by Mike Spitz - the owner and founder of ATR Services in York, PA. The sticker inside bears his initials. Mike's incredible legacy lives on in these amazing machines he restored and customized to record great music for generations to come.
Many consider this the "Holy Grail" of mastering machines, with its HUGE 1" format and that Ampex signature sound.
Machine may be picked up in Nashville, TN. We strongly encourage LOCAL PICK UP. Otherwise, you may arrange your own freight service, like Rockit, etc.
