Ibanez X-series DT-250 Destroyer electric guitar
1984-1985
Made in Japan
The guitar is in good condition overall for its age. Hardware is in good shape. I bought it in an estate sale, restringed it, and now I’ve decided to sell it. Some more factory specs and info listed below.
I don’t know the full history of the guitar, haven’t done much beyond what’s listed above and basic clean up. Selling it as is. Great opportunity to buy a RARE 1980s MIJ destroyer for a fraction of what I see others listed for!
Info from Ibanez Wiki link:
The DT250 is a Destroyer series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1984.
The DT250 features an X-shaped basswood body with a birch top and beveled edges mated to a set-in maple neck with a 22-fret fingerboard with dot markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez V5 humbucking pickups, a Powerocker synchronized tremolo bridge, Tek Grip knobs and Ibanez Smooth Tuner II machine heads.
Note: since I posted this ad I did plug it into my Axe fx to check it out. Wow! Tone is tight and full. Bridge position pickup sounds great. Pickup selection Adjustment works in bridge position and middle position. At neck position the guitars sound is faint. My guess is the 40 year old wiring could use tweaking. have Not done anything besides clean it, set it up, and play it for about 15 minutes.
