This violin is from the estate of a violin soloist with a number of albums including one with the London Symphony Orchestra. The violin has appeared on tour and in concerts with well-known musicians. A fabulous sounding violin and stunning example of Markneukirchen violin making from the mid 1800's. Another well-known dealer online has a similar one for $12,000.
The instrument has a deep, powerful and penetrating tone. A dendrochronological study was performed on the instrument to verify the wood age. This will be included with the instrument. There are no cracks or issues with the instrument whatsoever.
Please see all photos. Includes a close up of an area where a player in the past rubbed the top with their chin. A case will be included and if requested, perhaps other provenance from this violin soloist can be provided, i.e. albums, etc.
