Up for sale is a super cool Carvin Bolt electric guitar in very good condition and perfect working order. We just have it a pro set up with a set of Ernie Ball Turbo Slinky’s (9.5-46) so it plays amazingly with a straight neck, low action and on point intonation. The original Carvin single coil pickups in the neck and middle position sound excellent and have a vintage vibe to them with lots of clarity, warmth and sparkle. The bridge pickup has been upgraded to a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails humbucker which sounds incredible and compliments the single coils well. Sonically, this is a really versatile guitar. The toggle switch lets you switch between series, parallel and spit coil with the bridge pickup.
Cosmetically, this instrument is really clean and has been well taken care of. That said, there’s some mild cosmetic wear such as: some tiny dings scattered around, swirl marks and light scratches in the clear coat from handling and cleaning. The original nickel frets look great with no real discernible wear to speak of. See pics for condition and please excuse any reflections.
This is our first Carvin Bolt. Looks like some of these were kit guitars and some were assembled at the factory in the 90’s and 00’s. Given the finish and headstock logo, we’re assuming that this is a factory made guitar but that’s just speculation. Unfortunately, we’re not sure when this made and don’t know much about its history. We’re also not sure who’s signature is on the headstock. It appears to be all original with the exception of the bridge pickup, but that’s just our best guess. Given that, this is being sold “As-Described”. One thing is for sure though, this is one killer USA made Strat style guitar!
Comes with the original hard shell case and a trem arm. The guitar weighs 7lbs 5.8oz. The nut width is 1.715”. The neck thickness is .785” at the 1st fret and .835” at the 12th fret. The fingerboard radius is 12”. The neck pickup reads 4.08K, middle 4.12K and bridge 15.25K.
