For sale we have a beautiful 1918 Gibson L-1 Archtop guitar in good playing condition with a hardshell case. This guitar is in lovely structural health, is quite playable with a dry and sonorous tone expected from the best Gibsons of this era. It has one long repaired crack (see photo series) on the carved spruce top that was carefully cleated and glued. Otherwise the guitar has seen very minimal work over the years, minor fretwear, plenty of cosmetic "mojo" but wonderful structural health overall. The action currently reads a hair above standard acoustic spec with a healthy neck angle. The bridge has room to be altered if the neck owner would like to change the action. Overall weight 3 lbs 3 oz.
