- All (11) Electrolytic Capacitors have been replaced.
- All switches and jacks were cleaned and lubricated.
- Solder joints checked and re-soldered as necessary.

Electrolytic capacitors dry out or leak over time as they have a limited lifespan of 20-30 years.

A "bargain" Rockman X100 purchased without being refurbished can fail at any moment. When a car manufacturer recommends changing your oil at 3K miles, will the car still be ok at 10k miles on old dirty oil? Same idea here with electrolytic capacitors. Refurbishing your own equipment can cost you over a hundred dollars plus shipping both ways. Electrolytic capacitors can fail at any moment, jacks can become loose and intermittent, switches can become scratchy and intermittent. Refurbished Rockman units have new electrolytic capacitors, cleaned controls and contacts, retouched solder connections and replacement of any failed parts

Pure analog circuitry from the 80’s, they don’t make them like this anymore!

To protect battery cover from breakage, loosen all 3 housing screws before removing cover. Do not pry open cover!

• A brand new 12 foot cable/cord with a power jack plug was installed. The cord is double the length of an original one!
