JD Guitars 2023 Neptune-6

Part of the newly released “Neptune Series” from JD Guitars, the 2023 Neptune-6 is a dual humbucker 6-string with a 25.5” scale and deluxe appointments. The bound Walnut body features a multi-laminate drop-top made from Ash, Walnut, Cherry, and Padauk. The neck is a single piece of Brownheart with a bound Ovangkol fretboard, gold mother of pearl fret markers, and jumbo gold Evo frets. The headstock has an Ovangkol head plate to match the fretboard and a unique 4 plus 2 tuner arrangement. Nut width is 1.75”. Gold Schaller roller bridge. Locking Gotoh tuners. Hand carved bone nut. Pickups are an old school favorite, EMG 85 in the neck position, and EMG 81 in the bridge. These are active pickups and require a 9volt battery. Electronics are: Volume for each pickup, Master Tone, and a mini-switch for pickup selection. Currently strung with Aroura Gold strings (10/52). Aggressive chambering allows the Neptune-6 to weigh in at 7 lbs. 5 oz. Ships with gigbag.
