Vox Tempest 12 String 1966 - Red

This beautiful Vox Phantom 12 was originally purchased here on Reverb a few years ago and has been unplayed since it arrived. Here is the original description ...

An awesome 1966 Vox Tempest 12 string Guitar . The only thing not original is a few screws, the 5 way Pickup Switch, and the finish. Pro Setup makes playing this fantastic Guitar a Dream. The Back Pickup will Jangle your tones like any Rickenbacker I have ever heard.

When I got this guitar, the body had been sprayed an amateur Black. We got that off and discovered the guitar had been originally red. We had the body Professionally Refinished in the original Dakota Red color and they did a great job! What a beautiful guitar. Check those pics...The Vox Pickguard looks almost new. This guitar has had very little play. Check the original frets in the pics. Original Aluminum Nut as well.

We had to modify the pickups under the guard to keep them stabilized. The fragile ears on the pickups for holding them in place are always broken off. These are now repaired so they function as they should. It had a 5 way switch on it so we left that alone. All the electronics have been checked out for reliability. This guitar is ready to gig.
