This S-style guitar was completed on February 21, 2023, in the VZ Custom Guitars shop in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The roasted swamp ash body is dyed dark red and finished with clear dead flat (matte) nitrocellulose lacquer.
The 2-fret maple neck has a rosewood fretboard and is finished with clear nitrocellulose lacquer. The neck profile is medium C. Nut width is 1-11/16”. Neck thickness is .80” at the first fret and .85” at the 12th fret. Fretboard radius is compound 10”-16”. The frets are medium 6105. The nut is GraphTech NuBone. The tuning machines are locking GraphTech Ratio. Truss rod access is at the side of the heel.
The pickups are Seymour Duncan Custom Staggered Strat (SSL-5). Seymour Duncan describes this pickup set as “… a special overwound single-coil that strikes a great balance between increased output and classic Stratocaster tonal character. It will deliver bigger, fatter chords, and will cut through the mix more clearly than a traditional Strat pickup, all the while maintaining the magic and mojo that make a Strat sound like a Strat. Single notes are bold and loud, and solos truly sing. Use in the bridge position with a pair of Vintage Staggered Strat pickups in the neck and middle for the Gilmour-approved setup. Use a Custom Staggered RWRP in the middle for noiseless setup in positions 2 and 4.”
This guitar has been set up with D’Addario NYXL (.010-,046),
This guitar is wired for 7-tones. A push-pull switch on the volume control allows the neck+bridge and neck+middle+bridge pickups to be selected when the knob is pulled up.
A Fender Deluxe gig bag is included.
