Zogbaum & Fairchild - Tilton 1800's

This is a Zogbaum & Fairchild "Tilton Improved" parlor size guitar from the late 1800's. 

The medallion in sound hole reads: ''Wm. B. Tilton's Improvement , New York, Zogbaum & Fairchild, New York.  Patent 1856". 

Tailpiece reads: "For the best guitars Tilton's patent 1865". 

Strung with nylon strings, plays well.  

Repair to soundboard crack and small crack on back done by professional luthier relatively recently.   Neck repair, with decorative reinforcement, done a loooong time ago, from the looks of it.  

With very old case.  

Sounds nice and very playable.
