Utterly superb limited edition guitar from Gretsch - This "players edition" model is limited to 21 pieces worldwide, this is the first limited edition model we've seen in this awesome new range of Gretsch Guitars.
The whole idea behind the Players Edition guitars, is to offer vintage tone with modern playability and specs. Similar to what the Fender Custom Shop have done with their range of Relic Strats and Teles, which almost entirely exclusively feature flatter fingerboards and larger frets.
This guitar looks seriously sharp and with these new modern spec tweaks, you're greeted with a seriously easy guitar to play.
Aside from the stunning Cadillac Green Metallic finish, this guitar also features the classic Gretsch Tone Switch circuitry, instead of the tone pot that is usual on the Player's Edition. This allows for quick access to tone presets at the flick of a switch... and when the switch is in the middle it is bypassed completely, allowing for the full tone of the Filter'Tron pickups to shine through!Standard "Player's Edition" features include locking tuners, Medium Jumbo Frets, Graph Tech Tusq XL nut, "ML" Bracing (for full hollowbody tone, while also improving sustain and reducing feedback), pinless Bigsby B6 and pinned "rocking" bar bridge.
