1966 Epiphone Riviera in original cherry finish w/ factory Bigsby.

This one is structurally solid with no cracks or breaks. It does have some normal player wear as it got used as it was intended.

Most vintage aficionados know this, but 1960s Epiphones were made in the old Gibson factory at Kalamazoo, Michigan. They were marketed as counterparts to their Gibson-branded cousins. In this case, the Rivieria had its counterpart in the Gibson ES-335.

Otherwise the guitar is essentially original with very minor changes: added washers below the original strap buttons and a changed pickguard bracket. The pickguard is original. It shows some shrinkage and is missing the epsilon.

The bigsby is actually preferred from the players perspective even if you don’t use the tremolo. It creates a sharper break angle off the bridge in functions more like a stop tail.

The Bigsby also appears to be factory given that there are no additional screw holes where a Tremotone or Frequensator tailpiece would have been installed. Please see photos.

This one shows some play, where for good reason: these were intended to be played, and this is a great one! While not a closet, queen, it’s still in very nice shape, and will be one you won’t be afraid to play and gig.

The sign is not included and is not for sale.

Comes in a later hard shell case.
