Impeccably Restored!
A440 to A441
Rich Luscious Tone!

To professional flute players the name Haynes needs no introduction. Arguably makers of the finest handmade flutes in the world!

This is a solid sterling silver flute with STERLING stamps on keys and joints. This flute is a commercial model, all sterling silver, rolled tone holes, offset G and a C foot. Gold springs give the action a light springy response. Serial number 17946 and made in 1945 one of the best years of Haynes history. Also the stamp of 0 on the headjoint signifies the number zero mandrel which was the exact taper that Harold Bennett used to design his Bennett model flute in 1957.
Mechanically this flute was found in fabulous condition. Only minor scratches and a slight ripple in the headjoint tenon from a ding removal. Now corrected. This superb instrument was just restored with all new double skin treated yellow pads by Pisoni and all new corks and felts. Looks and plays beautifully with a rich fluid tone in every register.

A flute of this quality is truly a find! Plays so beautifully and effortlessly. The heaving tubing, .018" and standard embouchure give a real depth and personality to the tone. Sounding length 23 5/8" or 602 mm and plays exactly at A=440 and slightly above.

Included is the original French case in fabulous condition, the original silver tenon covers, a new padded case cover, new satin cloth and wood cleaning stick.

The sound on this flute is incredible. So creamy and voluptuous. Sterling silver in it's purest form is what gives the tone so much depth and character.

If you are a serious flute player looking to upgrade or even want a second Haynes flute to use as a backup, you won't want to miss out on this deal.

Perfect for any serious flutist or doubler. This flute can be used in any professional situation. I wouldn't hesitate to concertize using this flute!
