dbx Soundfield 1A Speaker System 1987

This listing includes the following components:

I am the original owner of this speaker system.
The system was purchased from Christopher Hansen LTD (Beverly Hills) in 1987.
I paid $3,000 (+tax) for the system.

Below are a few notable details but please view all pictures and the spec sheet for more information:
> The speaker system includes the two tower speakers and the matching sound control processor.
> The sound control processor is a unique and critical component that manages the speaker system’s overall sound quality.
> Each speaker tower has 14 drivers, including four (4) 10” long-throw woofers, four (4) 4” midrange, and six (6) ½” tweeters.
> There is one woofer and one midrange driver on each side of each tower, and six tweeters in a hexagonal pattern at the top of each tower, for a total of 28 speakers in the 2 enclosures. (See pics)
> The speaker drivers are all original and they are all in EXCELLENT condition with no damage to ANY of the 28 drivers.
> One of the 8 fabric speaker covers has a small scratch in the fabric; however, the 8 fabric covers are all interchangeable, so the cover with the scratch can be moved to the back of one of the towers.
> The speaker wood has no scratches but there is some sun fading of the wood finish between covered and uncovered areas. This is only noticeable when the speaker covers are off. There is also a slight water glass stain on the top of one of the speaker covers. (This might be repairable with some light sanding?)

The SFC-1A Active Sound Control Unit is also in EXCELLENT condition.
> Some of the ink markings have faded but should be easily repairable.
> The on/off button is sticky, but I understand there is a lubricant or cleaning spray that should correct this.

> The system had average usage from 1987-2000 and has been stored indoors ever since (always in a smoke and pet free home).
> The speaker system was tested before this listing and everything works great and sounds fantastic!
> Please note that the spec sheet indicates the speaker system's power handling is 40-400 watts per channel; however, with 28 speaker drivers I strongly recommend far more than 40 watts per channel to bring this system to life.
> The Owner’s Manual and other original documentation are included, and they are all in mint condition.
> The speakers are 42” tall and weigh approximately 80 pounds each.
> I do not have any of the original boxes.
