Washburn RS-10V 1987 - Natural - with Case

Extremely good condition, vintage, Washburn RS-10V guitar. These were made in Korea not long after the first wave of PRS guitars of this shape hit the market, but only lasted a short time with an estimated 1000 guitars made, likely due to the threat of legal action.

The body is a nearly direct copy of the PRS shape, and comfortable to play, with a set neck. It has one of the thickest maple tops I've ever seen, and this particular example has a very cool grain pattern where it's all kind of moving diagonally instead of a direct mirror image like most figured maple tops.

The neck is smooth and continues the very cool looking grain of the mahogany construction, but with an Ebanol fretboard, which is a black synthetic material designed to be similar to woody Ebony, but less porous. It feels smooth to play on and requires very little maintenance - just wipe off the dirt when you change strings with a damp cloth. The pointy headstock looks cool to me, and gives this guitar a slightly different profile than the traditional 3x3 style headstocks most guitars of this shape have.

Pickups are the factory EMG Selects, which sound much better than most people give them credit for. The bridge is a Washburn 600T, which is a double locking Floyd Rose style bridge, set up to float.

Guitar is in great condition, with a few notable scratches on the bottom edge near the input jack and on the rear of the body (pictured).

Includes an old case with green plush in decent condition, no broken latches.
