Tenor Violin (half-size cello tuned GDAE)

Hey y'all, I am selling my 2014 Singing Woods Violin Shop Tenor Violin. A tenor violin is a member of the New Violin Family, a family of eight stringed instruments invented in the mid-20th century. The tenor violin is tuned GDAE, exactly one octave below a violin and a fifth up from a cello. This tuning lets cellists play classical violin repertoire with ease, and allows cellists to play folk fiddle tunes without having to transpose. The tenor violin has the scale length of a half-size cello and can be played by someone used to a full-size cello with some minor modifications of technique. 

I have had this instrument for three years but I find myself carrying the low end in ensembles where my cello and upright bass fit a little better. If I were a lead player, I would definitely be playing this instrument more. I have been really happy with it, though, and learned a concert's worth of Arabic music on it as well as laid down some tracks with it in the studio. Though the instrument was manufactured in China, it was set up by Robert J. Spear of Singing Woods Violin Shop. It includes nice PegHeds concentric tuners (no slipping pegs on this instrument!). Included in this sale is a sturdy Concord case with wheels and a baroque violin bow. I picked out the baroque violin bow after trying out a bunch of cello, viola, and violin bows. The instrument is so responsive that despite being tuned an octave lower than a violin, it sounds best with a lightweight violin bow! Also included is a full set of replacement strings and several replacement E strings.
