Rogers 60s Holiday - 1 Owner Drum Set - Champagne Sparkle 13/16/22/5x14, Bongos, All Stands and Pedals - VIDEO

Steve’s notes: This is an incredible find! One owner complete Rogers 1964 drum set in champagne sparkle with all stands and pedals. This set has been stored for decades. 59 years old and looks unreal!!!! This set includes 9x13, 16x16, 14x22 and matching 5x14 Powertone snare drum, plus the original 6” and 8” bongos. In addition, we have all the stands and pedals including the snare stand, high hat stand, bass drum pedal, cymbal floor stand, the cymbal L arm for the bass drum, and even includes the original seat and the woodblock. The stand for the bongos wasn’t included but we found a stand that works and will include it as shown. Rogers champagne sparkle was the richest-looking of all champagne sparkle finishes, and has that hint of “copper” which adds to the richness.

The original owner took delivery of this set in 1964 and it is likely one of the earliest beavertail lug kits since that lug design debuted in 1964. This is truly a Holy Grail for any Rogers lover, and, for anyone who wants what was arguably the Ferrari of drums in the 60s. Rogers was so innovative with the swivomatic hardware, and their shells always sounded incredible. The fit and finish was always top of the line. As much as I love all of the USA 60s era brands, Rogers is still at the top of my list. Rogers was played by artists such as Buddy Rich and Louie Bellson among so many others.

The set was cleaned by us since it was dusty. There are only a few small items to note: One is a small bit of snare rub on the 13. We have a pic of that included here. It is very hard to see but we angled the drum so you could see it. In person it is harder to see. There is also a small spot of discoloration on the floor tom as shown, and some normal pitting on some lugs. That’s it. Basically, this set is as good as the day it was manufactured in 1964, and looks incredible. You don’t want to miss this one!
