Cool old sano combo amp.
Made one mod to the normal channel. Completely reversible, tacked on an 100k resistor to lower input resistance down near 68k. Has more gain and normal channel now breaks up when dimed.
Original cts speaker had been repaired badly and sounded bad so I swapped it with a rola alnico and it sounds much better. Would sound even better with modern 12” speaker.
Nice point to point amp. Completely original outside of the mod and tubes. I run 12ax7’s in both preamp tubes to add more gain. The original setup of 12ax7 and 12au7 makes the amp sterile and no breakup. Same with the original input resistance.
Very easy amp to mod and tinker with. Sano built nice amps but just made them for the accordion market mostly.
