About This Listing

Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a very nice older Aiwa or Crown brand adjustable desk stand from the 1950's & 60's era and perfect for just about any older vintage microphone. This Japanese brand came with the classic two tier "waterfall" base that has a deco vibe to it.

I don't know if this was Aiwa or Crown as the logo wore off years ago but those are the only two Japanese brands I know of that ever sold this style of stand. I normally wouldn't suggest using this stand with larger heavier mics because normally they are very lite weight.

Years ago somebody decided to fill the empty space on the underside of the base with lead and while it's not much lead...it's extremely heavy. About 4 whopping pounds worth. And have you seen the price of lead these days?

Anyways, this stand is uber heavy and steady so you can attach just about mic you could think of. This stand ain't tipping easy that's for sure. The lead was well installed as it's very secure in there. Nothing loose.

This stand has a dual adjustable chrome riser set up with a locking clutch that works perfectly.

Total length is 5 inches x 9 inches low X 14 inches at it's highest and it weighs roughly 5 pounds.

The chrome risers and base are all in very nice condition with a minimum of wear. No dings or fractures. The base just has a few lite scuff marks and tiny scratches.

Please let the detailed pics be your guide. The stand will accept just about any microphone with the exception of a few Astatic mics due to their unusual 3 pin attachment. All E.V, Shure and Turner mics will screw on however. This stand has the universal 5/8 thread.

This stand is an easy 8 on a scale of 10.

MICROPHONE SHOWN ON STAND IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.

                    As with all my items...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The shipping will be on you as I believe that's fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period. Check my rating. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are welcome as well. Buyer must pay within 24 hours or an unpaid case will be opened and item relisted. Domestic buyer will get priority shipping.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and...thanks for looking.
