Teenage Engineering OP-1 Portable Synthesizer, Accessory Kit and Case

For sale is an as-new OP-1, purchased in mid-2019 and never used for gigging. The machine is in absolutely top-notch condition and comes with both a protective case and accessory kit - your complete OP-1 package in one hit.

This OP-1 has been kept safe with much care. The only reason it's not listed as mint is because the plastic overlay and cardboard box for the accessory kit are are a bit crinkled, but the machine and accessories remain in fantastic condition. Even as I type this I'm not sure if I really want to sell it, but it's time for this amazing machine to open musical doors for a new user!

About the OP-1

The OP-1 synthesizer is a complete sampling and synthesis workstation you can take anywhere. Featuring 24 voices, eight synth engines, a flexible sequencer, 16 hours battery life and a 4-track virtual tape machine.

About the OP-1 Accessory Kit

The Teenage Engineering OP1 accessory kit includes FM antenna, crank, bender, and brick shafts. Continuously evolving, the OP1 is constantly adding new accessories and updates. Adding even more effects and functions with each and every release. Thanks to the modular nature of the OP-1, the new functionality comes without adding any extra complexity to the user interface. So the OP1 will always be intuitive and easy to use.

Firstly, the FM antenna in the OP1 Accessory Kit is a 3.5mm plug-in antenna that gives you better signal reception when indoors or in remote areas.

Then you’ve got crank. Mount the crank accessory on OP-1’s blue knob and press shift and record. Now, your OP1 will be in hand-crank recording mode. Use the crank to create some real vintage recordings. Or crank counter-clockwise to record backward, all in real time. You can also use the endless sequencer as a hand-cranked music box. Just enter the notes, crank the crank, and crank any parameter.

You’ll also find Bender which you can mount on the orange knob and comes with a rubber band that goes around the blue knob for elasticity. Select Bender in the LFO browser and you’re able to bend any parameter you like. Whether it’s pitch to filter, or synthesizer parameters.

Finally, Brick shafts are lego-compatible shafts that you can use on any of the knobs. So you’re able to mount any LEGO part. Why not put a big LEGO rubber wheel for extra grip? Or build your own motor-driven programmable LFO together with LEGO MINDSTORMS. In four colours, you can experiment with any parameter.

This protective soft case in water repellent cordura nylon and custom molded eva foam custom made for the OP–1 will keep your new favourite synth snug and safe :) The back pocket is designed for storing cables or smaller accessories, detachable front patch can be used to attach OP–Z protective case, with adjustable and detachable strap.
