About This Listing

PRS SE Angelus A265E Natural w/Original Hard Shell Archtop Case

Stellar Acoustic-electric from PRS

From PRS comes an incredibly well-designed, top-notch-appointed acoustic: the PRS SE Angelus A265E gives you PRS quality in an affordable acoustic-electric guitar that sounds amazing both unplugged and plugged in. The Angelus A265E features PRS X-brace/classical hybrid bracing, which is shared with PRS's USA and Private Stock lines for optimum clarity and projection. In addition, the solid spruce top and Pau Ferro back and sides provide a classic warm and articulate sound. And the Fishman GT1 under-saddle electronics provide outstanding, pure amplified acoustic tone for when you hit the stage.

Fine tonewoods meet signature PRS appointments

The PRS SE Angelus A265E features an Angelus body with a solid spruce top and Pau Ferro back and sides. This wonderful combination of tonewoods provides a unique tonal palette that is balanced between pristine highs and a warm low end. In addition, the neck on the A265E is carved from choice mahogany and a bound ebony fingerboard also adds to the rich tone and gives this neck a smooth feel and incredible playability. Signature abalone bird inlays adorn the fingerboard and give this acoustic a classic PRS look.

PRS's X-brace/classical hybrid bracing

PRS's proprietary X-brace/classical hybrid bracing method blends the techniques of some of the most legendary acoustic guitar luthiers in history. This bracing pairs resonant tops with stiff and reflective backs and sides, offering a powerful tone that doesn't mask the intricacies of your playing style. The SE A265E shares this bracing design with PRS's USA-made production and private stock acoustic guitars. It's a high-end feature you'd expect to find on custom acoustics costing thousands of dollars, but it can be yours at an affordable price. It's a feature that guitarists at Sweetwater love.

Fishman under-saddle pickup system

Getting your acoustic guitar tone to translate in a live environment can be tricky. That's why PRS outfitted the SE Angelus A265E with a high-quality Fishman GT1 under-saddle pickup system. These electronics naturally sense vibration at the point where it's the clearest and most intense. This gives you a clear and strong voice with good feedback rejection. Soundhole controls for tone and volume let you dial in your sound to taste. And the controls' low-profile design does away with unsightly electronics dominating the look of your guitar.
