Bass was brought in on for a set up and electronics swap. Customer decided they were just going to part with the bass and sold it to us to cover the labor involved in the set up/neck reset. There was a crack in the neck (pictured) and was not technically “affecting” the bass too much, but when brought in for a set up we offered to do it for costs.
They had wanted the electronics swapped to EMG HZs and a new RoHS preamp, but the quote was $355 for all work involved , and as you can see, not necessarily worth it as this is a hobbyist/great practice bass. The electronics all work currently , even though one potentiometer has a broken stem. This is the one thing that will need to be replaced on this bass if you plan on using it heavily for recording/live gigging. Now that being said… the previous owner has used it in this condition (technically lesser because it was not set to their preferences and had a broken neck) for the last three years on the studio and live.
Listed as fair because its playability is spot on, as it just got a set up and fresh Pro Steels on it, and its electronics work just need some TLC, which we will put in and relist if the bass does not sell at the reduced listing price.
