About: The CM-5 is a 9 multipattern tube condenser. Unlike most such microphones, the CM-5 uses an edge-terminated capsule. The capsule is not a true copy of the AKG CK-12, but produces a similar frequency response despite its significantly simpler internal construction. The capsule is a 34mm design, with 27mm diaphragms made of 6-micron Mylar. The tube is an Electro-Harmonix 6072a. The mic’s output transformer is based on the T14 design from the AKG C12.
