2004 Modulus Quantum 5 Bass - Alder body with chechen top, graphite neck with chechen fingerboard. Aftermarket Aguilar pickups. 35" scale, 24 frets, 17 mm spacing. Weight is ~9.0 lbs on a bathroom scale. New DR Pure Blues strings. The bass was refinished by a wood restoration pro, using a pre-catalyzed lacquer. The chechen top looks super clean, while the back of the bass has taken a couple small blemishes. The refinish also revealed a hairline crack on the back of the body, emanating from one of the neck bolt holes, felt to be a pre-existing issue. Took it to 2 reputable luthiers, both confirmed it was stable and recommended doing nothing. There is mild fret wear. Please see photos and feel free to contact me with any questions. The bass will ship in its original hard shell case. Will consider offers.
Editorial: I find this platform barely usable these days, with as much fraud as I’ve witnessed on here. Within hours of listing, I had 2 bogus “offers”—one trying to steer me to an email address and the other trying to get me to text a phone number (both with generic “Continental, US” locations and both unreachable by direct message). The next day, I had a poorly worded message in my inbox, again trying to get me to email them off site. Again, user can’t receive messages on Reverb. Not to mention, when I had previously listed this bass locally, the ad ended up being copied and posted on here fraudulently by a scammer from outside of the US. It’s just absurd at this point. But if it’s any peace of mind for actual potential buyers out there, I am just a genuine bass and recording gear enthusiast, moving this because I’ve purchased another bass I don’t really need, and I can’t keep them all. I’m experienced with selling online and with shipping. Buyers will get a quality instrument, accurately described and safely packed. Please, if any of you legit bass players have questions, shoot me a message any time!
