Here is a German made copy of a Giovan Paolo Maggini violin, full-sized, and dating from the late 19th - early 20th Century.  It is in Excellent condition, with a gorgeous, Highly Curled Striped Maple Back Plate, Ribs and Neck.  There are no cracks, no splits and no open seams.  A prior, partial center seam separation of the top (beneath the tailpiece), has been professionally cleated and glued, and is completely stable.  It comes with a L. Bausch, round stick Bow, straight and recently rehaired.

The strings are new, the Ebony Fingerboard clean and smooth, the tailpiece features four fine tuners, the pegs are snug and hold a tuning well, and the finish is lovely and classic with a truly striking back.  This is a beautiful instrument.

The sound of this violin can best be described as bright and well balanced, with a strong projection

This is a very fine example of a German Trade Violin from the late 19th - early 20th Century, in excellent condition, set up and ready to play.  Please note: while the Vibration length (scale length) of this instrument is absolutely consistent with that of other 4/4 violins, the Corpus (body length) is slightly longer than usual.  This instrument will tend to feel more comfortable in the hands of a taller player.

Please check the photographs carefully as I have tried to capture this instrument in detail and from all angles.  Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

This Giovan Paolo Maggini Violin copy is sold AS IS and is not returnable unless it arrives in a condition other than as described or photographed, here.

The Violin comes in an old, hard shell case.  The case is in good shape on the interior but the exterior’s original leatherette covering is long gone. The locks work perfectly.
