Now this one's cooler than the other side of a pillow. This awesome G6120RHH Reverend Horton Heat Signature hollowbody is another Gretsch gem that oozes mojo like no tomorrow. The satin Orange Stain Lacquer finish - with a clear pickguard that shows off more of the surface of the body - and the artistically-crafted inlays of western motifs remind you of the sun setting on an old town in the Wild West, and the tonality of this guitar matches that very nicely.

Providing said tone are TV Jones Filtertrons, which provide that signature Gretsch tone in spades. Sitting somewhere between a low-output humbucker and a single-coil, the Filtertrons have a very distinct chime to them that combine well with the hollowbody construction for genres like classic rock n' roll, blues, rockabilly, jazz and country. We love this guitar into a Fender blackface or tweed amp, or anything that the chimey pickups can drive the front-end of.

The G6120RHH Reverend Horton Heat model is built to the Rev.’s own specs and rocks a distinctive combination of 1955-style Gretsch western motifs and 1958-style pickups and controls. Features include TV Jones® Classic pickups, pinned Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, Gotoh® locking tuners, clear pickguard, “G” body brand, bound oversized F-holes, stained maple headstock overlay, multiple aged body bindings and aged fingerboard and headstock binding. The aged vintage wide-block pearloid inlays feature a western motif of cactus, steer heads and fences, and the headstock features pearloid steer head and Gretsch logo inlays.
