About This Listing

Hands down one of my favorite thinline Teles, super light, twangy and downright beautiful with a knotty pine top and roasted body, birdseye neck and shell and rope purfling. Stunning. Fender sez:

The Limited Edition Knotty Pine Tele® Thinline features a combination of the finest hand-selected woods, custom components and master craftsmanship only found in the Fender Custom Shop. A chambered and roasted pine body and knotty pine top with f-hole deliver steadfast tone with enduring resonance, all with the exquisite look of brown-shell top binding and rope purfling. A roasted 2A birdseye maple neck with round-lam rosewood fingerboard features a ’60-style oval “C” back-shape, 9.5” fingerboard radius and 21 narrow tall frets.

Hand-wound Loaded Nocaster pickups feature three-way switching and Fat ’50s Tele® wiring, which creates stronger tone with a transparent bloom and minimizes treble loss that typically occurs when rolling back volume. Other features include a brown-shell Caballo Tono pickguard, ’58-’63 Tele bridge with compensated RSD saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut and a wing string tree. Also includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.

Condition: Near mint (relic); Body: Ash; Neck: quartersawn maple, 57 Soft V carve, 9.5 radius; 6105 narrow jumbo frets; Nut: 1.650; Color: blue floral; Pickups: Custom Shop Twisted Tele; Scale: 25.5; Orientation: Lefthanded (of course)
