Harmony H162 Spruce top solid mahogany back and sides. 1 3/4 spacing 25.5 scale. Early 60's non truss rod model.
H162's are selling for just under this amount in their original condition which in most cases are damaged, cracked and unplayable. Some folks like the ladder braced sound but until you hear one of these X-Braced you have no idea. You're looking at a guitar that will rival guitars 3 times more expensive and still sound better. Some that have been reworked are selling for twice what I am asking as I do this as a hobby and not to make a living.
The neck has been reset, level sanded and 2 carbon fiber rods have been added to keep it good and straight. Martin forward style X-braced with quarter sawn Sitka Spruce scalloped. Martin style Rosewood bridge with bone saddle and top nut. Bone bridge pins. Frets leveled, crowned and dressed. Original Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard worked to help remove factory cross sanding. Grover tuners. Back and sides have been refinished using Shellac and Nitrocellulose lacquer. The top has been touched up.
Also added dot position markers on top of the fingerboard. New pickguard as well. Comes with a padded gig bag and a guarantee for life (well mine) if you have any issues just send it back and I'll fix it for free. Shipping has gotten crazy so I used the Reverb est. If the shipping is less I will refund the difference.
