We bought a New Import Lap Steel from Guitar Center and installed our conversion kit ; placed new strings with the more correct gauges for open E. It comes in the gig bag with the legs.

Our new Service is to provide an Americanized Import Lap Steel already set up and ready to play out of the box. Many folks do not have a place or tools to install a RetroFit Kit. Some folks would rather pay a little more to have their new lap steel beefed up by someone who knows how.
If you do want to save some money we sell the RetroFit Kit in our Reverb Shop.
The RetroFit Kit is designed to expand the scale to 22.5 and the 3D Printed Tough PLA Nut is 3/8 spacing V Grooves for heavy strings .056 - .013 or similar gauges.
