This Used Fender Custom Shop Crash Stratocaster is here on consignment.
It is in fantastic shape, clean cosmetically and fully functioning.
Well, you don't see these popping up to often! Mostly due to the fact that they were built in such limited numbers (only 50 back in 2007). Masterbuilt by Todd Krause and then painted by Pop Graffiti artist, Crash, the Crashocaster or Crash Strat's have landed on the wants list for many collectors all over the world. The Fender “Crash Guitar” project started in 2004 and featured guitars painted by Matos himself and by January of 2007, he finished painting the 50th guitar body from the limited edition run, and none have been made since. Eric Clapton’s famed "Crash-3" was sold at Christie’s in 2004 for $321,000 after being played extensively on tour. Each one of the 50 bodies featured a unique paint job and color scheme. The Two Piece Pickguard is another aesthetic touch that elevates this instrument to another level. The control plate is black anodized while the plastic section has been painted to match the guitar. The back of the headstock is adorned with the signature of Todd Krause and the Custom Shop Logo helping confirm this is one of the original 50. Truly a piece of Fender Custom Shop History!
