Charvel Model 3 Guitar HSS MIJ Mid 1980's Red w/Duncan Invader pickup + OHSC

Here we have a super cool Charvel Model 3 electric guitar from around 1985/86 or so.  Made in Japan.  Serial number 227066. This one is a Red Gloss finish with a Maple neck and a Rosewood fingerboard. HSS pickup configuration.  Volume and Tone controls with a 5- way blade switch.  The bridge pickup has been swapped out for a Seymour Duncan Invader pickup.  The original pickup is included but it is not functioning. Perhaps it could be fixed.  Aside from the guitar is all original.  It has the Kahler 2500 series tremolo system with brass saddles and a locking nut.  The guitar has been set up with 9-42's and is playing really well.  The neck is straight and the truss rod is working as it should.  The frets are in very good condition with some signs of wear.  When you are up high on the fretboard around the 15-17th frets and you bend a step up or higher, there is some choking.  A fret level would fix this for sure but the guitar is absolutely playable as is and it is a blast to do so.  The guitar weighs 8lbs 6oz.  The guitar comes with a tremolo bar that is silver and not black.  The original tweed hard shell case is also included.  Cosmetically, the guitar is in very good condition.  It has nicks, scuffs, and some scratches.  There are some small indents on the top of the guitar (see photos). It was hard to capture in the light.  Overall very clean shape.  The tremolo has some wear on it.  You can see in the photos that some of the black finish over the saddles has worn off from being played.  Very common.  Not too shabby for a 35 plus year old guitar.  This baby still has plenty of miles left and maybe you should be the one to put them on!  Who doesn't love a mid 1980's shredder Charvel??  This is definitely a shop favorite.  Thanks for looking and happy buying!!
