JTal Guitars MODEL 0026 - "Magnificent Mayhem"



Body: Original Charvel 475 Deluxe / Metallic Black Finish - Original (produced from 89-91 by Charvel) - Scratches here and there, specifically on the back - however major chips and dings were repaired to as close to the original finish a possible. NOTE: Charvel Neck Plate Serial Number 344675



Neck: Charvel 475 Deluxe Maple neck, Rosewood Fretboard, 22 frets (size: Jumbo), dot inlays, 25.5 scale length
, Pearl Sharkfin Inlay in like new condition. 

JTAL GUITARS Restoration Notes: From JT: "Arguably one of the fastest playing necks I've played with a Charvel from the 275/375/475 series - and that's saying something considering how good these were from  this 1989-91 series from Charvel.

The inlay is stunning and the binding has yellowed a touch just as you'd expect a 30+ year old guitar to do. Original tuners are in great shape and while the frets have certainly been used, there was no crowning that had to be done - just a simple polish.

The guitar feels broken in to the absolute perfect degree.

Original pickups were fine but decided to swap out to give more wiring options - Dual Sound in the bridge (custom pink / black zebra style cover colors) gives you a Super Distortion with all the possible splitting/tapping choice.

The burnt chrome Floyd Rose Special plus matching burnt chrome locking Floyd nut makes this thing shine as well as it feels/plays. 

The major work on this guitar was with the finish. There was probably 20+ hours put in to repair some fairly large spots (dime to quarter size if not bigger) that had the original paint completely gone (down to bare wood). This also included a sizable amount missing on the headstock near the end of the L in the toothpaste logo. The hours added up in trying to match not just the original finish but taking into account what the original finish looks like 30+ years later.



Pickups: DiMarzio Dual Sound Bridge (coil split on bridge volume), Virtual Vintage '54 middle and Area 67 Neck. 



Bridge: Original trem system replaced with new Floyd Rose Special Trem System (Burnt Chrome) with matching Burnt Chrome Floyd locking nut and brand new Floyd Rose springs (Red)



Hardware (Wiring/Switch): Hand-soldered, vintage style pushback cloth covered wiring with CTS pots, CRL switch, orange drop cap, and special five-way wiring mod to get a strong, Landau-style tone in position two (inner coil plus middle).

GUITAR FINAL SETUP - Truss rod adjusted for proper neck relief, action set at comfortable height, the new Floyd setup is with original tremolo mount studs. Bridge balanced for proper intonation, action, etc. New strings put on post-setup D'Addario XL .010-.046 Regular Light (EXL110)
